South African Renal Registry Annual Report 2019

چکیده

The eighth annual report of the South African Renal Registry summarises 2019 data on kidney replacement therapy (KRT) for patients with failure in Africa. This round collection has been adversely affected by COVID-19 pandemic, which impacted completeness data. In December 2019, number who were being treated chronic dialysis or transplantation stood at 9 937, a prevalence 169 per million population (pmp). Africans accessing private healthcare sector was 788 pmp, whereas it 57 pmp chronically under-resourced public sector, still below rate reported 1994.
